Datacom has been awarded a $5.8 million contract with the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission.
The IT solution provider will deliver four NetApp controllers and 18 disk shelves as part of the contract. The controllers are supplied with the Data OnTap software, which are capacity based and will cover all 18 disk shelves.
Management software NetApp OnCommand Insight (OCI) is also included in the contract.
According to a department spokesperson: "The contract includes the provision of standard support and maintenance services on all controllers and disk shelves - both the hardware sourced in this contract and the existing hardware."
The contract period is for June 2016 until February 2019.
Datacom's submission was selected based on a "best value for money offer", according to the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission.
