Data#3 has landed a contract to supply up to 12,000 HP devices to the Queensland Department of Education and Training (DET).
The devices will be deployed to schools across the state over the coming months as part of the Computers for Teachers initiative, which equips teachers with new devices every four years before the end-of-life period.
The program was introduced in 2006 and provides Queensland school teachers who work at least two days a week with laptops. Teachers can also access Microsoft's online training and qualifications program Microsoft IT Academy.
The Brisbane IT giant has worked with the DET for more than 22 years, according to chief executive Laurence Baynham, who said Data#3 was looking forward to working with the department on the new contract.
"As the largest HP Inc. partner in Australia, we have complemented world-leading products with our local services, and we are pleased to win one of the larger contracts in the state," Baynham said.
In the 2016 financial year, Data#3 grew its revenue by $67.7 million to reach $983.2 million. The company's cloud business was a standout, growing 110.5 percent to reach $99 million in revenue for the year.
