Recently hiring 50 ex-Commander employees, Data#3 said the acquisition of Fingerprint Consulting Services will see 10 recruitment specialists join the company.
“This will considerably bolster our People Solutions business nationally and position it as one of the leaders in New South Wales,” said John Grant, managing director at Data#3. “With our own customer base expanding rapidly, the opportunity for broadening our recruitment footprint is considerable.”
Last year Grant told CRN that Data#3 was focusing on developing a strong employee base in the face of the current ICT skills shortage.
“It may sound [like a] cliché, but having the right people in place in a business is a major aspect of what makes a business remarkable. I think we certainly have an attractive working environment where people have a real desire to come to work,” he said.
In the last four years, Fingerprint Consulting Services has forged a presence in the IT recruitment market with a predominately ‘blue chip’ customer base. Owners Steve Grace and Darren McConnell will continue to run the business, allowing Data#3 to benefit from their expertise and experience.
“Both Mr Grace and Mr McConnell have long term experience in recruitment and associated human resources services,” said Grant.
The purchase consideration is payable in cash and will be based on a multiple of earnings over a three year period.
According to Grant, the acquisition will have positive but not material impact on earnings per share in the current year, but is expected to grow strongly thereafter.
