Large Microsoft partner Data#3 has extended a contract to supply licenses and subscriptions to Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW), nearly doubling the existing value.
Now, the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement contract has an amended value of $142.29 million.
TfNSW has also amended the contract duration to May 31, 2026.
A spokesperson for TfNSW explained the the contract extension to Techpartner.news.
"In June 2022, Data#3 was awarded the contract as Transport for NSW's Microsoft Licensing Solution Provider to supply Microsoft licenses for on-premise licenses, as-a-service subscriptions and Azure Cloud in accordance with the NSW Government Whole of Government Microsoft Enterprise Agreement," the spokesperson said.
"In June 2024, this contract was extended for another two years to align with the term of the NSW Government Whole of Government Microsoft Enterprise Agreement," the spokesperson addded.
The contract is a multi-year one, that first came into effect in July 2021.
In January this year, ASX-listed Data#3 was awarded a contract extension by the federal government's Digital Transformation Agency (DTA), for the Microsoft Volume Licensing Arrangement (VSA 5).
The extension was for another 12 months, with an end date now of June 30, 2026.
DTA's extension was in order to provide a longer lead time for contract review, and engagement for version 6 of the VSA.
