CRN poll – readers doubt the power of agile methodologies

CRN’s most recent reader poll asked: “Have you adopted agile methodologies?”

The term “agile methodologies” can be hard to nail down, but generally cover project management techniques – especially when applied to software development – that emphasise small teams, frequent updates and less monolithic projects.

Agile methodologies are felt to be integral to DevOps and/or continuous delivery, but have also been adopted for all sorts of other projects.

But according to CRN readers, not always successfully. Many of our readers have tried the new techniques and come away unimpressed. And the dominant sentiment expressed was scepticism that agile makes a difference.

Here’s how readers’ 139 votes fell in our poll.

Our next poll asks about multi-cloud, a topic CRN is often told is the new reality as end-customers pick and choose the best bits from multiple clouds. Let us know if that’s a reality, by taking our new poll here.
