Comcare has issued a request for quote seeking a service provider to provide scalable ICT testing services to support the delivery of business-as-usual enhancements, operational changes, regulatory initiatives, cyber security uplift activities and strategic digital transformation programs.
Comcare is the national work health and safety regulator and workers’ compensation authority, with the Comcare scheme providing a system for work health and safety, rehabilitation and workers’ compensation for the Australian Government and self-insured licensees.
The successful supplier will provide skilled testing resources and specialist testing capability across Comcare’s ICT portfolio, while progressively maturing the agency’s testing capability through the introduction of contemporary testing practices, increased automation, improved governance and continuous improvement.
The agency's preferred approach is a phased sourcing model that enables the progressive transition of testing capability from internally led delivery to an externally managed service over time.
The successful supplier will initially provide specialist testing resources operating within Comcare's existing delivery teams to supplement internal capability, capacity and expertise.
Over the term of the contract, the supplier will be expected to demonstrate capacity and capability to progressively assume greater responsibility for testing services through a hybrid operating model, with the option for Comcare to transition selected services or the entire testing function to a fully managed service arrangement where appropriate.
The initial contract duration is 24 months, with three possible 12 month extensions.
