Aussie resellers and disties have until 1 April to apply to join the government's preferred list of suppliers of cloud services.
The list has been growing over the last 12 months, and now includes 80 suppliers including the likes of Data#3, Dimension Data, CSC, Vault Systems, Technocrat, Bulletproof Networks, Datacom, Cloud Central, Telstra as well as vendors such as IBM, HP, IBM and Dell.
In the last week, seven new vendors have been added to the list, which is called the "Data Centre as a Service Multi Use List (DCaaS MUL)":
- Avnet Technology Solutions (Australia) Limited
- Business Information Services (NSW) Pty Ltd
- Conexim Australia Pty Ltd
- DWS (NSW) Pty Ltd
- Esri Australia Pty Ltd
- Spawnit Pty Ltd
- Technology One Limited
The government reports 29 contracts worth $1.3 million have been entered into. The list was introduced as a two year trial and will expire on 14 October this year, but the government states it is "reviewing the lessons to determine the way ahead."
