Cisco appoints new ANZ managing director

Cisco has appointed Todd Lynton as Managing Director for Cisco Consumer Products in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

In this role, Lynton will oversee the sales and marketing functions as well as business unit operations.

Lynton is based in Sydney and will report to Craig Gledhill, Cisco Consumer Products Vice President, Asia Pacific.

"To continue our successes in the Australian and New Zealand consumer markets, it is imperative that this leadership role is filled by someone who shares our vision to bring Cisco Consumer Products to the next level," Gledhill said in a statement to the media.

"With the growth of wireless and increased adoption of home networking equipments and portable video devices in the region, there is a great opportunity for Cisco Consumer Products to further penetrate this market."

Linton has joined Cisco with more than 19 years experience in the consumer industry.

He most recently served as Director of a premium lights company, Special Lights, and previously has held various management roles at Polaroid and Olympus Australia.
