Managed services provider OPC IT has thrown its support behind the upcoming Classic Cruise in Canberra, helping raise funds for children’s charity Camp Quality.
Managing director Brett Norton will join an expected 200 car, truck and motorbike enthusiasts in a cruise around Canberra on 8 September.
Norton will suit up as Marvel character Iron Man as part of SuperHeroes ACT, the event’s organiser. Other members will be dressing up as Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Supergirl, Batman and Thor.
“The Classic Cruise is loads of fun and all for a great cause,” Norton said.
“All money raised from the event goes directly to Camp Quality, allowing the charity to continue its programs and services that support children up to the age of 13 who are dealing with their own cancer diagnosis, or the diagnosis of someone they love.”

OPC IT also signed on as a major sponsor, joining Murray’s Coache, WIN TV, Shannon’s Canberra, Hit104.7 and Colliers International.
The cruise is open to vehicles at least 20 years or older, luxury and exotic cars, company-branded cars, members of car clubs, unique vehicles, trucks and motorbikes.
Last year’s classic cruise, as well as other events, helped Camp Quality raise enough funds to provide services to more than 8000 children impacted by cancer.
“We’re all touched by cancer at some point in our lives,” Norton said.
“It really is an honour to be able to support Camp Quality and help to make a difference in the lives of so many Australian children.”
