The deal is meant to boost profitability for CA’s channel partners in Australia and reward joint sales of CA Recovery Management solutions to VMware Infrastructure client organisations.
CA has created a customised program to provide financial incentives and tools and training for channel partners.
For resellers, the joint solutions will mean a larger and more profitable virtualisation practice, while the initiative will give businesses the flexibility to manage applications without hardware and software investments plus upgrade costs.
“We are delighted to be partnering with a company as well-regarded as VMware,” said Ray McIntyre channel sales manager CA.
“We are confident that with VMware’s strong network and CA’s leading Recovery Management solutions, our partnership will provide a winning combination for our partners,” he added.
Resellers joining the initiative can get a 10 percent at-time-of-purchase discount on the CA Recovery Management portion of a combined CA and VMware order purchased through Channel partners Ingram Micro in Australia and DataStor in New Zealand.
CA and VMware will host a number of webcasts and seminars for its reseller partners throughout November and December.
“Our webcasts and seminars are designed to enable CA partners to learn firsthand how they can achieve higher margins, grow existing sales leads and increase revenues,” said McIntyre.
"The VMware Alliance Affiliate Initiative has produced enhanced solutions for our partners and we are very pleased to be working with CA as a key Alliance Affiliate partner in Australia/New Zealand," said David Blackman director Partner Organisation VMware A/NZ.
CA has been working with VMware for several years to develop product integrations that help customers deploy, optimise, manage and secure virtual systems across the enterprise effectively.
Upcoming CA/VMware Virtualisation events:
Seminars: Sydney – November 25, Melbourne – November 27, Wellington – December 2, Auckland – December 3. Webcasts: Nov 26 and Jan 29.
