Telecommunications provider Broadband Solutions co-founder Sam Bashiry has stepped down as chief executive, naming Peter Neatnica as the company’s new leader.

Bashiry will move into a new role to focus on the company’s strategy moving forward. Neatnica will take up the chief executive post as of 9 April 2018.

A company spokesperson said stepping aside from day-to-day business would allow Bashiry to focus on global markets and the strategic direction of the overall group.

“I’m looking forward to working with Peter to further grow the business, leverage the capability of our own hosted PABX and create a new wholesale division that will give our current and new clients access to our wholesale back-end systems,” Bashiry said.

“The opportunities are endless, through plenty of hard work and commitment to our customers’ needs Broadband Solutions will continue to grow. It’s an exciting time ahead for Broadband Solutions, bringing Peter across as CEO and shortly relocating to a new 750sqm office space in Southbank to allow for future growth including potential acquisitions.”

Neatnica said he was thrilled to be joining the company.

“We want to deliver reliable, fast, appropriate technology solutions and great customer service for everyone to conduct their business effectively and efficiently as possible,” he said.

Neatnica's IT career spans some 20 years, and he has held various executive and management roles including early work at Sharp and NEC’s first broadband division.

Founded in 2005 by Bashiry and business partner Brad Hughes, Broadband Solutions is a major supplier of services in the education, healthcare and hotel brands in Australia.
