Brennan nets $5.5M in service wins
The new business wins include significant ‘whole of business’ IT&T managed services contracts as well as the renewal of a number of existing outsourcing contracts, said Dave Stevens managing director of Brennan.

Major new business wins include financial services giant MetLife; IT hardware distributor IPL; and Churches of Christ, who in a competitive tender selected Brennan over Telstra and Commander.

Under the three-year IT&T outsourcing agreements, Brennan will provide MetLife with secured Internet access, hardware/software procurement and outsourced IT support. For the Churches of Christ, Brennan will supply it with a 55 site private IP WAN and hosting services; and IPL with project services, hardware/software procurement, outsourced IT support and a private IP WAN.

Stevens said financial services and non-profit organisations are a specialty for Brennan; however IT distribution was not an area that it had regularly serviced.

“What’s driving this need for voice and data implementation in the mid-market is that we are seeing a definite shift towards outsourcing as a way to reduce the cost and complexity of maintaining their IT investments, as well as a desire to deal with a single provider who can work as a trusted advisor when it comes to making major strategic IT investment decisions” said Stevens.

Brennan wins over organisations like Commander and Kaz shows the need for the market to address mid-market organisations as separate from enterprise organisations, said Stevens.

“The organisations that chose us see us a ‘one stop provider’ for their IT&T outsourcing needs. It’s absolutely the way of the future especially for mid-market companies, who views Commander/Volante and Kaz /Telstra as being solely focused on enterprise and government organisations. Where as Brennan has a pure focus on mid-market organisations which Commander can’t lay claim to,” he said
