Distie Bluechip Infotech has added Avigilon Alta Access Control, Motorola Solutions' latest line of cloud-based access control systems, to its security offerings portfolio.
Bluechip IT, is one of Avigilon's longest-serving distributor partners in Australia, and has been managing Avigilon Unity since its previous iteration as Openpath.
"The changing environment to subscription-based products and a focus away from server architecture makes the offering very attractive to the Bluechip customer base," Matthew Harvey, Bluechip IT's head of sales for electronic security and infrastructure, saiid.
He added that the access control side of Alta completes "a nice circle" alongside the advanced range of video security lines already working on the cloud architecture running on Alta Aware.
Openpath, founded in 2016, was acquired by Motorola Solutions in July 2021.
The company later rebranded under the Alta franchise to Avigilon Alta Access Control.
The Avigilon portfolio includes fixed video, advanced analytics and smart access control systems, which are part of Motorola Solutions' mission-critical ecosystem designed for public safety and enterprise security.
These solutions aim to help users find and share critical intelligence faster, enabling quicker responses to events to keep people, operations and assets safe.
