Observatory Crest has secured the distribution rights for Axway's enterprise communications security products (formerly sold under the Tumbleweed brand) in Australia and New Zealand.
Under the agreement, Observatory's resellers will have access to Axway's secure file transfer, email encryption and security, and identity validation solutions.
Martin Christmas, director at Observatory Crest told CRN the products complemented its existing vendor partnerships with F5 and Arista Networks.
He said products brought over from Axway's acquisition of Tumbleweed extended the application delivery, security and networking of solutions available to its resellers.
"Most of the products require sizeable installations so there will be a component of services for integrators," said Christmas.
The distributor has eight resellers on board, with six having moved over from the Tumbleweed acquisition, he said.
"[The resellers] have been very position because it gives them additional resources and the ability to purchase [products] in local currency," Christmas said.
"There are some strategic opportunities that will see this number increase," he said. "[However] the intent is not to over-distribute the product."
