AVT adds Visionect's Joan and screen sharing vendor Airtame

Audio-visual distributor AVT has added Visionect’s Joan room booking technology and wireless screen sharing vendor Airtame to its portfolio.

Joan is an electronic room booking system using e-paper technology, with integrations with most calendar apps and Cisco Webex. Parent company Visionect also sells digital bus stop information boards used by Transport NSW's bus network.

Airtame specialises in wireless screen sharing solutions with customisable digital signage, all managed in the cloud. The solution is an all-in-one device combining with hardware, software and integrated apps.

AVT chief executive Graham Evans said the solutions are complementary to its current hardware and software offerings in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Evans said the products are ideal for its corporate, education, venue and hospitality customers looking for low-cost solutions.

“We have been very strategic and deliberate in the selection of complementary product categories to expand our distribution and earlier this year we identified a need for economical solutions which can be deployed quickly across multiple locations and centrally managed in the cloud,” Evans said.

“In addition to being economical solutions, there is a myriad of functionality which each of these new products bring with them. After reviewing several manufacturers, it was very clear that Joan and Airtame were the partners we had been looking for.”
