At least one distie is chuffed about their first order for Office 365 Open, with Express Data breaking out the balloons and a bottle of wine to celebrate the milestone.
Celebrating the order with the distie was Andrew Mackenzie from reseller Professional Advantage, who told CRN that the end customer is a Sydney recruitment organisation.
The question is, will it be the first of many? Express Data has been running a breakfast seminar in capital cities and claims there has been "great interest" in the product. Mackenzie described the open licensing program as a "great opportunity".
Express is touting the fact it is Microsoft's "only hybrid distributor providing Microsoft Open, SPLA and ISV licensing". The distie is running webinars to "demystify" Office 365 licensing.
This week Office 365 became officially available via Open Licensing to the wider channel community.
Express Data was recently acquired by Dicker Data, with the deal closing succesfully last week.
