Chris Wright is stepping down as CEO of AUCyber, effective as of tomorrow.
Wright first joined 5G Networks, who took a controlling stake in AUCyber earlier this year, after 5G bought cybersecurity consultancy Security Shift, which Wright founded, for $4 million in 2024.
He subsequently was named CTO and CISO for 5GN, before transitioning out of the CISO role and into a COO role in February this year, the same month he was named CEO of AUCyber.
In a statement released to the ASX, 5G said that Wright oversaw the restructuring of the company’s operations and balance sheet.
"Chris will continue to work with the 5G Networks executive team to support the achievement of the consolidated group's business objectives," the company stated.
"As a ~90% owned subsidiary of 5G Networks and as a result of the interim efforts led by the executive and the Board since February this year, a formal CEO for AUCyber is not currently required in the combined executive structure."
5G Networks reported in September that it had turned around its underlying EBITDA in FY25, thanks in part to $9.7 million in revenue from AUCyber.
Both Wright and 5G Networks have been contacted for comment.
