Richard Hill, the EGM of Atturra's Business Applications business unit, has retired after more than 25 years in the industry.
Before joining Atturra, Hill had previously looked after SA and WA for TechnologyOne, before moving to Red Rock Consulting, handling SA, QLD, WA and VIC over five and a half years across two separate stints at the company.
In 2014, he co-founded Galaxy42 with Jon Riethmuller - a boutique consultancy venture which was acquired by Atturra (then FTS Group) in 2021 to help organisations maximise the value of their application systems.
Prior to being acquired by Atturra, Galaxy42 acquired Canberra-based ChartSmart Consulting for an undisclosed sum in 2020.
In 2021, Brisbane-headquartered IT services business ESAM Consulting was bought for an undisclosed amount by Atturra and integrated into Galaxy42, while at the end of last year, Galaxy42 Group exchanged a share sale agreement to acquire Sydney-based manufacturing ERP specialist ComActivity.
"He’s not only a respected leader and visionary, but also a generous mentor, trusted colleague, and good friend to many," Atturra said on LinkedIn.
"Richard, thank you for everything. We wish you all the very best in your next chapter—you've more than earned it."
Aaron Likely to take over as EGM
Hill's successor, Aaron Likely, joined the company in 2017 as GM of NSW and QLD before being named as GM of core applications in 2020.
Prior to this, he worked at Tambla, Fusion5, Viatek and Infor.
“When Richard and John called me in 2017 to join Galaxy42 I never in my wildest dreams thought we would grow to where we are today,” Likely said.
“Richard leaves behind an enduring legacy at Atturra. It will be a smooth transition for me as I have been part of the succession planning since late 2020.
“Atturra is well positioned to take advantage of its larger scope and size and will focus this year on growing in New Zealand and cementing our existing partnerships, while being strategic about some new partner offerings. I look forward to working with my team and the wider Atturra group.”
