Managed service provider ASG has signed its third contract with the Western Australia government in under three months.
ASG managing director Geoff Lewis credited the company's consumption model for the spate of new wins.
"It's not about having a technology conversation with you: we want to look at your business, find out what your biggest issues are and find out how we can help," he said in an interview with CRN.
"By doing that we're going to transform your business. At the end of it you will have a very streamlined and cost effective model."
ASG's latest agreement is a multimillion dollar deal with Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA). The company will modernise MRWA's enterprise resource planning system by deploying an Oracle E-Business Suite under the three-to-five year agreement.
The new contract will add to the $86 million of deals ASG has signed in under three months. ASG signed a long-term deal with engineering firm Clough, a five-year $11.3 million deal with the WA Department of Housing and a five-year $14.8 million contract with the WA Department of Education.
The company reported a restructuring loss of $29.9 million on revenue of $152.5 million for the year ending 30 June 2013.
Lewis said the restructure from traditional computing to what ASG refers to as ‘New World’ computing has put them in a strong strategic position.
Next the company plans to win contracts with the Queensland Government.
Managed service providers have been vying for Queensland government contracts in recent months after the Newman Government said it would scrap CITEC and cease being an internal provider of IT services.
