Solutions provider ASG has hired former Datacom Systems WA managing director Basil Lenzo as its new general manager for Western Australia.
Lenzo founded Datacom WA in 2007 and led the company until it was acquired by the Datacom Group in 2015. At the time of the buyout, Datacom WA employed over 150 staff and earned $80 million in annual revenue.
In his new role, Lenzo will be responsible for the Perth-headquartered ASG's operations in Western Australia, covering both corporate and government sectors.
Lenzo replaces Rob Eskinazi, who is moving to Melbourne to head up ASG's sales operations.
The new state GM said the big attraction of ASG was being able to deliver up the value chain for customers.
"ASG’s business approach and unswerving commitment to bottom line impact for customers is unique in the IT services sector. Its service-driven by business improvements, not technology," said Lenzo.
"IT has the capacity to be a game changer for so many organisations and I’m very much looking forward to delivering it to many more in WA."
ASG chief executive Geoff Lewis has previously said the company expects to sign over $340 million in contracts in the 2016 financial year.
