Apple Store to open in Penrith
Sydney's Apple Store.

Apple will cut the ribbon on its latest Apple Store in the western Sydney suburb of Penrith on Saturday.

Since opening its first Apple Store in the US state of Virginia in 2001, Apple has opened more than 300 around the world.

The Penrith store brings to 11 the number of Apple stores in Australia. The bulk of stores are in the US, which has 237, while in Britain there are 30.

Apple said the Penrith shop would be decked out in its typical livery with space for technical support, personal training and workshops.

Visitors would also receive free advice and support at the Genius Bar and personal set-up services for products including the iPad, iPhone, iPod and Mac computers.

Staff would also be on hand to help business customers choose the right Apple products for their companies.
