ANZ firms named in 2023 AWS Partner Awards in Las Vegas

Several Australian firms and a New Zealand business are among the 2023 AWS Partners of the Year named overnight at AWS re:Invent 2023 in Las Vegas.

Sydney-based Local Measure was named the regional APJ AWS Marketplace Partner of the Year, which recognises top AWS Marketplace Partners with significant AWS Marketplace transactions.

Last year, Local Measure chief executive and founder Jonathan Barouch told CRN Australia how the company changed focus from a customer experience platform to a contact centre solution during the pandemic.In 2020, it launched its cloud contact centre solution called Engage for Amazon Connect. 

“We built this expertise at the edge of an organisation and essentially we’ve shifted that into the contact centre when the pandemic hit. When retail outlets and hotels were closed, the contact centre became the front door of customer experience to the organisation,” Barouch told CRN Australia at AWS re:Invent in 2022.

Melbourne-founded “boutique” cloud services provider WOLK was crowned global AWS Well-Architected Partner of the Year. The title recognizes a “top AWS Partner that builds high-quality solutions, implements best practices, checks the state of workloads, and makes improvements to fit business and customer needs.”

Australian AWS Premier Consulting Partner DNX Solutions was named the regional APJ Sustainability Partner of the Year. This title recognizes AWS Partners “committed to achieving sustainability goals. Solutions may cover, but are not limited to, capabilities in AI/ML, IoT, data analytics, and computing to reach your organization’s or customer’s sustainability goals.”

Cofounder of Sydney AWS consultancy DNX Solutions, Allan Denot, is the new CEO of the company’s compliance solution spinoff company Citadel.

New Zealand-based data masking solution provider DataMasque was named by AWS as the regional APCJ Rising Star ISV Partner of the Year. The title goes to “rising ISV Partners that have seen significant YoY growth in their business.”

It was a triumphant outing for Ingram Micro, which was named global Distributor Partner of the Year, a title that recognises “top distributors that have provided significant contributions related to revenue and number of AWS Partners reached.”
