ANZ enlists DiData, Twitter execs as tech advisors

ANZ has established a panel of tech experts to guide it on emerging technology and digital and social media trends.

The four panel members include Dimension Data's senior vice president of strategy and engagement, Gerard Florian; Twitter's Asia Pacific & Latin America managing director of online sales, Aliza Knox; PayPal's former vice president global retail and head of strategic development, Don Kingsborough; and Filippo Passerini, Procter & Gamble's former group president global business services and CIO.

Dimension Data's Florian manages cloud strategy for the global systems integrator and was previously CTO and chief marketing officer.

ANZ chairman David Gonski said: “The board and our senior executive team recently visited the West Coast of the United States to consolidate our understanding and refine our approach to digital transformation. The meetings also helped deepen our understanding of the opportunities that emerging technologies are creating to better support our customers."

ANZ rivals Westpac, NAB and CBA have all in recent times announced innovation hubs or venture efforts designed to tap into innovative ideas and capabilities globally, according to CRN's sister title, iTnews.

The panel will meet quarterly with the ANZ board technical committee.
