Pitney Bowes MapInfo Australia, location intelligence solutions provider, has announced the integration of Census data into its AnySite Australia location software.
Jonathan Wright, vice president, Pitney Bowes Software Asia Pacific said: "AnySite Australia is a key tool for businesses and public sector organisations to gain a clear insight into the community in which they
operate.”
According to Wright, the inclusion of ABS data provides a more comprehensive application that organisations can leverage in order to drive better decision making.
“The Census update means Australian businesses and government organisations now have access to more relevant location information to assist in making informed business decisions,” said Wright.
AnySite software allows businesses to analyse and display customer and market research data to find new site locations, grow existing locations or plan for emerging community service demand.
Australian organisations already implementing AnySite applications include Fitness First Australia, Weight Watchers, Brown-Forman Australia, Elders Communications, Queensland Department of Communities, O'Brien Glass and Medicare.
“Location is a critical success factor in our operation,” said Joseph Saad, managing director, Weight Watchers Australasia. “We use AnySite to examine overall market opportunity by region, and to identify areas that have sufficient demand to justify new meeting locations. AnySite has proven to be a key strategic tool for our business planning and day-to-day operations.”
Existing AnySite Australia customers as well as new clients who purchase AnySite Australia licenses will be given access to the ABS 2006 Census data.
