Anittel announces SMB focused advisory board

IT and telecommunications integrator Anittel has formed an advisory board for small business customers following the completion of the merger between regional resellers AnittelAxxisAspirence and Accord.

The advisory board, chaired by Axxis Technology founder Mathew Dickerson, will provide a link between the Anittel board of directors and the marketplace to provide ideas and feedback to Anittel as a means to fine tune its offerings.

Dickerson claimed the concept is "revolutionary" in the small business services space and demonstrates Anittel's "commitment to delivering a service experience that is "unique in the Australian market".

Dickerson, who has spent twenty years servicing small business clients, said he has seen many organisations "try and take their enterprise ideas and drop them into the small business space".

"That simply doesn't work," he said. "I see effective communication with clients as a crucial component of a successful small business-focused company, but an area that is all too often forgotten by some service businesses," he said.

The advisory board will consist of Anittel's client base, vendor and distributor members in a specific focus area.

It will meet four times a year, with two of those meetings conducted over video-conferencing.

Peter Kazacos, executive chairman of Anittel, said: "The small business space is completely different to the enterprise space and we need to approach this market differently.

"I've seen it work well with government organisations, but it has never been used before in relation to small business," he said.
