Andrew Nette has joined Melbourne-based Source Technology as director of platform transformation, heading up the overhaul of the company's customer platform.
Source Technology specialises in data management and data protection services across Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Hybrid Cloud and Private Cloud environments, with over 50 staff across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Nette most recent role was platform engineering for Australia Post, a role he held for nearly six and a half years; prior to that, he was application services manager, also for Australia Post.
He's also served as an IT operations manager for ANZCA, infrastructure operations manager at Bakers Delight and a project team leader at Department of Human Services.
"It was an incredible run working alongside some truly awesome people, brilliant teams, and great technology over nearly a decade," Nette said in a post on LinkedIn.
He said his new role would comprise of modernising Source Technology's foundational tech capabilities and providing a next-gen Platform as a Service (PaaS) and secure sovereign cloud infrastructure.
"[Source Technology are] looking at the big picture—rethinking how the platform functions from the ground up to deliver a seamless, resilient, and compliant experience," he said.
"It’s a complex puzzle to solve, but diving into a transformation of this scale alongside such a sharp team over the last few months has been incredibly rewarding."
