Under the distribution deal, Altech will have access to LeadTeks range of products, which comprises of Leadtek's full-range of graphics cards and TV tuners.
Antony Sheen, managing director at Altech told CRN, he met with Leadtek at the beginning of this year while it was in Sydney at the nVidia Roadshow.
“Leadtek is a strong brand recognised for by gamers. It took us some time to come to the agreement, things moved much quicker after I met Terry Yeu asst vice president of Leadtek during Computex,” said Sheen. He has very similar approach to the market and a lot of our opinions are exactly the same,” he said.
According to Sheen the distributor was looking for high quality and extreme graphics cards for some time already and thought Leadtek fits nicely into this category.
“It just launched overclocked and watercooled nVidia 8800Ultra graphics card that gives astonishing performance for gamers and enthusiasts. We also managed to get exclusive deal for Australia - bundling very popular and special game “Lost Planet” with 8600 series of Leadtek Cards,” said Sheen.
There are a lot of new and very exciting products coming soon from Leadtek based on VoIP and associated technologies, said Sheen.
