iiNet earns status as go-to supplier for Canberra

Internet provider iiNet has joined NextDC on the federal government's Data Centre Facility Supplies Panel.

Placement on the panel means suppliers can supply to non-corporate Commonwealth entities subject to the PGPA Act, including the likes of the Australian Federal Police and the Attorney-General’s Department.

Digital Sense Hosting and Pacnet Services (A) also joined iiNet as the three suppliers added to the panel in this round. 

This is the second group of suppliers the government has announced for the panel - others already on the panel include Canberra Data Centres, Australian Data Centres, Datapod (Australia) and NextDC. More announcements will be made in the coming weeks.

iiNet announced David Buckingham as new CEO this month.
