Extreme Network's James Eling on the gap in leadership and strategy

James Eling from Extreme Networks believes there's a "huge gap" in leadership skills because of a lack of leadership training in high school and university courses.

"Sometimes people are given the opportunity to lead, but the lessons that they get are up to them to draw themselves, which is why I think the Australian Army is Australia's premier leadership training institution - there's formal education baked into everyone's career and we expect everyone to be able to lead."

We spoke to James at this year's SMBiT Professionals National Conference in Sydney.
