Zylotech’s Rainbow shines in Apple’s designer market
Nicholas Sikiotis, Zylotech CEO, has hired Nandan Keerthi, IBM’s ex-distribution manager, to head up its channel division.

His job will be to generate interest with distributors like Ingram Micro and Synnex.

The developer claims the Rainbow product has already received endorsement from 3P Studios – an Australian multi-media production house.

“The designer/studio/creative market is an area which Apple has played its cards very well in. All of Apple’s PCs, notebooks and other hardware are attractively presented – but at a price,” said Sikiotis.

He claimed all the vendor’s products are put forward for this market. Toshiba and Sony also have products which suit this market, but they can’t seem to get their products in like Apple.

“We also have a Microsoft OEM agreement, through the vendor’s embedded channel distributor, DSTA,” Sikiotis added.

He said Rainbow has attracted major vendors like IBM and NEC, who have clientele in the home market.

“These vendors can channel the product anywhere they can and it becomes a little engine for them,” Sikiotis said.

“We wish at this point [IBM/NEC] would take the product and rebrand it - we would love them to.”
