Zettagrid restructures to fire up channel of cloud VARs

Australian infrastructure-as-a-service provider Zettagrid has launched a cloud partner program to formalise its relationships with value-added resellers.

“Currently 60 percent of our revenue is generated by what can be called key customers, but in reality are mostly VARs, but we did not support them with a formal partner program,” said Zettagrid channel manager Gordon Salvage.

“We recognise that partners want both a deeper relationship with us and greater awards.”

Salvage said that with the new program Zettagrid’s “proposition is clear”. “We provide the cloud infrastructure and our partners do the customer qualification, provisioning, billing, and, of course, offer their additional managed services.”

A statement from Zettagrid said that the two-tier program “leverages existing VMware, Microsoft and other vendor certifications”, meaning that qualified partners only need training on the Zettagrid products and services.

“We see significant growth with VARs moving their customers’ virtualised workloads to the cloud – and this is where we can provide real benefits,” said Salvage.

Zettagrid stated that the partner program and the channel-centric restructure of its business was built in conjunction with consultancy firm Channel Dynamics.

The Perth-headquartered Zettagrid recently made headlines in Las Vegas for becoming one of the first two Asia-Pacific resellers to sign up to the Veeam Cloud Provider program. The company also has an east coast office in Sydney.
