Yahoo!7 Search has released Yahoo!7 My Web version 2.0 beta which provides users with a way to save, recall, and share online information with others.
My Web 2.0 features several additional functions over previous version, My Web 1.0. These include user feedback and include relationship labels, unidirectional connections, additional sharing controls, enhanced profile personalisation, simplified activation.
Brett Poole, search product manager, Yahoo!7 said of the announcement that the internet was becoming more community-oriented, with users wanting greater access to trusted information.
Yahoo!7 has also launched a beta version of Yahoo!7 Answers, a free service where people can ask questions and get answers from real people on any topic. The technology builds on Yahoo’s search functionality. It also allows users to archive and categorise users’ questions and answers by topic, and makes it searchable with Yahoo!’s search technology.
