WorkSafe Victoria looks for managed services partner

The Victorian WorkCover authority (WorkSafe Victoria) and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) have gone to tender to look for service providers able to provide a range of managed IT services.

The successful bidder will be required to deliver a full scope of services including data centre, mid-range, network, end user and transition provisions.

WorkSafe Victoria is calling for support for its data centre housing midrange, storage, network and disaster recovery infrastructure and associated services.

The successful provider will further be required to assist with for all of WorkSafe Victoria's midrange facilities, as well as network service support to manage all network facilities excluding major routers.

End user services are also required to manage facilities including desktops, notebooks, printers, file and print servers as well as email and support services.

Finally, the government service requires assistance with transition services from its current sourcing arrangements as well as migration of technology from the existing service provider's data centres into new data centres.

Submissions close at 2:00pm on 7 April 2010 and will be accepted as hard copy responses to the WorkSafe head office.
