WiseTech Global has found a new chief executive, with the board appointing former employee Zubin Appoo into the role.
Appoo was previously the head of innovation and technology at the logistics software provider from 2004 to 2018.
In the years following, he held chief technology roles at payments companies InLoop and NAB subsidiary HICAPS.
Appoo was CEO of care services marketplace Find a Carer from November 2023, before returning to WiseTech in April 2025 in the role of chief of staff and deputy chief innovation officer.
Zubin succeeds Andrew Cartledge, interim CEO since October 2024 and CFO since September 2015, who will retire at the end of 2025.
WiseTech co-founder and executive chair Richard White said Appoo’s appointment was part of a succession plan necessary for WiseTech’s next stage of growth.
“Zubin's proven leadership skills, extensive background in technology and product development, coupled with his deep understanding of WiseTech, our culture and products, as well as the logistics industry, makes him uniquely qualified to lead the WiseTech team," said White.
“His extensive prior experience at WiseTech, and his performance since rejoining prove he is able to lead WiseTech. The board, senior leadership team and I personally look forward to working with Zubin to accelerate value creation for WiseTech shareholders, customers and staff.”
Lead independent director Andrew Harrison said the board thanked Cartledge for his contribution to the company.
“His dedication as a leader to the whole WiseTech team has positioned us for future growth and we wish him well when he retires, as planned, at the end of the year," he said.
