Westcon-Comstor brings ‘self-healing’ storage to Australia

Westcon-Comstor has been announced as the Australian distributor for storage vendor X-IO Technologies.

The US vendor is known for its Iglu storage array that it claims “self-heals and removes the need for regular servicing”.

The distribution agreement starts immediately.

“In order to accelerate both traditional enterprise data centres and cloud platforms, the infrastructure demands intelligent storage like X-IO,” said Westcon ANZ managing director Dave Rosenberg.

X-IO global sales operations vice president Tim Cullen said the Westcon-Comstor relationship would “allow more resellers to seamlessly build successful cloud practices”.

“Backed by years of development and research, X-IO actually solves real-life storage problems facing partners and their customers globally,” he said.

In Australia, Westcon rebranded as Westcon-Comstor in September, with the Comstor banner concentrating on Cisco distribution.
