WebCentral has signed up IT services company Invizage Technology to resell its products to a base of 7000 SME customers.
Invizage, a divison of Telstra's Sensis, would deliver WebCentral’s Software as a Service/ ASP-style products to these customers including its managed Exchange email product.
WebCentral’s CEO, Andrew Spicer, said, “at least half of WebCentral’s SME customers come through companies like Invizage.”
Spicer believed the company developed a strong customer base by partnering with clients.
“This partnership with Invizage reflects WebCentral’s core strategy to expand our managed applications’ business through strategic alliances with well-regarded service providers,” he said.
Although WebCentral started out as a hosting service for SMEs, this type of service builds a new space in hosted applications. It's currently actively recruiting partners to provide software as a service to SMEs.
"It's a very fragmented market and there's not that many players," said Spicer.
