Web development and services group WDG has acquired Brisbane developer Alfresco Design, making it the largest web agency in Australia.
The purchase would boost WDG's revenues to $15 million by year-end 2006 and bring its total staff count to 135.
WDG boss Arthur Spanos said the company always wanted to expand into south-east Queensland, the second-fastest technology growth corridor in the world.
WDG's business grew by over 50 percent during the past year, following new contracts with the likes of Buena Vista Home Entertainment, VicUrban and BHP Billiton.
