Wavelink launches automated asset management solution

Wavelink has unveiled 5thWave, a new asset and customer lifecycle management service designed to help channel partners optimise technology renewal opportunities and streamline the upgrade process.

Built on the iasset.com platform which was a finalist in the 2021 Impact Awards, and fully integrated with Wavelink's NetSuite ERP and Fortinet API, the service automates renewal quotes and provides partners with tools to manage technology transitions proactively.

The system provides multiple renewal notifications at 90, 60, and 30 days before expiration, with post-expiry follow-up for seamless contract transitions.

Wavelink has assembled a dedicated team of five customer experience specialists to analyse installation base data and identify opportunities for upgrades, cross-sells, and upsells.

The distributor's launch of 5thWave comes as the technology distribution sector prepares for significant refresh cycles, including Fortinet's expected firewall upgrade wave beginning in 2025.

"Wavelink recognises that partners are under increasing pressure to manage complex customer lifecycles while identifying new opportunities for growth," Ilan Rubin, chief executive officer of Wavelink said.

"5thWave takes the burden out of asset and renewal management, giving partners a data-driven, automated solution that keeps customers on track and optimises sales opportunities."

"Wavelink's iasset.com implementation showcases how channel players can use cutting-edge revenue technology while integrating with existing systems seamlessly," 'Scott Frew, chief executive of iasset.com said.

The company reports that since implementing iasset.com internally in September 2024, it has generated AU$5.6 million in revenue, with 60 per cent of all renewal quotes now validated automatically.

Wavelink plans to onboard additional vendors beyond Fortinet following the initial launch and continues to enhance functionality for both partners and vendors.
