Victoria has announced a new round of the $4.25 million Digital Jobs program, aiming to deliver 1,000 training places over the next two years to upskill leaders and workers with digital skills.
Developed in consultation with industry, the free training equips Victorian construction and advanced manufacturing workers with skills in AI and machine learning, data analytics, digital marketing, computer-aided design, cybersecurity and more.
Over 6,000 Victorians have already gone through the program.
The program aims to support businesses to utilise digital technologies to keep up to date with emerging changes in their industries, as well as make informed and strategic decisions on technology adoption.
In addition to this program, the state government's AI Mission Statement is investing $8.1 million in the Digital Jobs – AI Career Conversion program.
This will upskill tech professional to become AI specialists, with the first courses beginning in mid-2026.
Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs, Danny Pearson, said the government is investing in digital skills to create secure, future-proof jobs for Victorians.
“This program ensures Victorian workers and businesses can take advantage of new digital technologies and stronger career pathways," he said.
