US company Accelerated has announced that its Brisbane subsidiary is developing a reseller channel in Australia and Asia under the command of local managing director Matt Ramsay.
The hardware and software telecommunications vendor was established in 2006. With a team of nine people, the Brisbane arm has been responsible for the design of many of the company's telecommunications products and solutions.
"There are plenty of opportunities in Australia, but our US parent has had its hands full handling growth in North America for the past few years. My role is to focus on developing our markets in Australia, New Zealand and Asia," said Ramsay.
The company will focus on the wireless WAN products in the Australian market.
"We’re now building relationships with the telecommunications sector, both carriers and resellers, so that we can leverage our local expertise and US credentials, to start making more Australian sales.
"These products are professional-grade, so we plan to work with system integrators who can deploy them with the right cellular plan to provide customers with rock-solid business continuity," said Ramsay.
Ramsay joined Accelerated in April 2015. He has almost 20 years of experience in the IT industry and has previously worked for Intel, where he was vice president of sales for network security and OEM business development, and Centrify, where he was regional director for Asia-Pacific.
