US vendor names Hemisphere as first-ever Aussie distie

Hemisphere Technologies has been appointed Stratus Technologies' first-ever Australian distributor.

"This strengthening of our portfolio of security offerings helps our channel extend its reach even further," said Hemisphere director Andrew Mamonitis, who left Kaspersk Australia in February to join the distributor.

Sydney-based Hemisphere will help channel partners address prevention of downtime areas, business continuity and maintain data integrity with Stratus' catalogue.

Hemisphere Technologies director Peter Phokos said: "Stratus Technologies is a key part of our strategy towards augmenting our offerings across key enterprise areas, including both the financial and government sectors."

Stratus, a US-headquartered computer software company owned by Siris Capital Group, announced that it is expanding its business in the Asia-Pacific region with a new channel strategy.
