It was a strong turnout for the Sunshine State's capital attracting resellers and a fair few retailers.
The crowds were kept fed and watered with a steady stream of delicacies including satay beef sticks, risotto, salt and pepper squid, chicken pies, curry samosas, sushi rolls and other delights.
The night's tempo picked up noticeably as soon as the beverages started to circulate among the crowds.
An equally steady stream of sessions down the back of the venue fed delegates' minds with information on new gizmos and technologies.
CRN's treasure chest competition netted two lucky delegates an EMC storage array.
All the stands reported strong turnouts from resellers; some stands were at times four or five people deep to get in to see a channel manager.
After the show, delegates retired to the Rydges bar next door for CRN's customary complementary drinks session and wind-down.
It turned out to be a good night for a particular channel manager who won an iPod touch from CRN.
