Unisys A/NZ has moved to increase the profitability of its local business with several new appointments to its Advisory Board.
Margaret Gibson and Garry Wilson join the services provider as non-executive members and are tasked with providing senior management with feedback and advice on business strategy.
Gibson joins Unisys with 20 years experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she was responsible for government, transportation, healthcare, tourism & leisure, construction and engineering sectors.
Wilson joins after eight years as CEO of New Zealand’s Accident Compensation Corporation.
In a statement, Gibson said she saw outsourcing, real-time infrastructure, open source, Microsoft solutions and enterprise security as the key to Unisys future growth.
Existing members of the advisory board include former NSW Premier and Federal Finance Minister, John Fahey, and former A/NZ executive vice president of Visa International, Gordon Wheaton.
Unisys' US parent recently reported a first quarter loss of US$27.9 million, down from US$45.5 million in the same quarter last year.
