Endpoint security and management software vendor 1E has appointed Andrew Herman to lead the Australian and New Zealand business as its first regional director.
Based in Sydney, Herman will be responsible expanding 1E's presence in ANZ in the IT automation and endpoint remediation space, and has been charged with bringing on new partners and boosting the vendor's professional services and sales support.
Prior to joining 1E, Herman was managing partner for BCS Solutions leading its sales and commercial divisons. He also had stints as regional sales director for Urbanise.com, 10 years in various positions at IBM and time working for the likes of SAP and Fujitsu.
“I was attracted to 1E because of the pedigree of tier one global customers who use the product and the powerful value proposition the solutions offer within the IT management and security space," Herman said.
The UK-based vendor touts more than 80 customers in ANZ, and partners such as IBM, Thomas Duryea Logicalis, DXC, Avanade and HCL. Globally, 1E says 1700 organisations run its software.
"While Australia and New Zealand represent a relatively new market for 1E we already have some of the largest companies here running our software which is great from a local reference perspective. This has been achieved by our strong partner network and I am very excited on how we can really accelerate our growth with a local presence to support both our partners and customers,” he added.
The vendor said in a statement that the appointment of a regional director reflects the current groundswell for 1E in ANZ.
“1E is well-known around the world for helping to bridge the dangerous divide between today’s IT security and operations teams," founder and CEO Sumir Karayi said.
"Our new regional director points to our intent to bridge any gap with the ANZ region and ensure as many ANZ organisations as possible can access the same software used across Europe and the US.”
