Freshtel Holdings has struck deals with three retailers in the UK to stock its Internet phone handsets.
Woolworths UK will display the Freshtel’s products in the October edition of its catalogue “Big Red Book” for online and mail order customers. It will also distribute the product throughout 806 stores across Britain.
UK homeware retailer Robert Dyas, with around 95 stores across England, will also feature the product in its catalogue and stores. QVC, a UK shopping channel and online retailer will begin promoting and stocking Freshtel products in September.
UK phone retailer Argos started distributing the product in July.
The Freshtel 2070 Internet Telephone Handset connects to the USB ports on a computer and works in tandem with the company Firefly softphone.
Michael Carew, CEO of Freshtel said the agreement, combined with the VoIP provider’s wholesale arrangement with Tesco, strengthened the company's foothold in the UK market.
Early this month, Freshtel announced to the ASX the addition of 66,000 new subscribers to its Voicedot Network service, taking the total number of subscribers up to around 374,000.
