Security vendor Trend Micro has appointed Michael May as enterprise sales director for Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to joining Trend Micro, May held senior sales and management positions with Sun Microsystems, where he has worked since 1996. Most recently he held the position of partner sales director responsible for hardware, software and service revenues for Sun Microsystems across Australia and New Zealand.
Lionel Phang, director of Trend Micro APAC, said increasing business growth and educating businesses on security solutions is a priority for Trend Micro.
“Michael May will be a valuable asset as the company continues to strengthen its customer base in Australia and New Zealand. He has a strong background in hardware and software and a proven track record in channel development – all elements critical to our continued success in this market,” added Phang.
May said security is an increasingly critical issue for all businesses.
“Trend Micro ensures business-security infrastructure and synergy by providing total enterprise security solutions to meet the unique requirements of large enterprises and service providers. I am excited about the growth opportunities ahead and look forward to extending my experience as I move forward in this role,” added May.
