Touchbase’s says Prognosis is good
Touchbase will use Prognosis for IP Telephony as the cornerstone of its global Managed Service Provision offering for enterprise IP telephony clients, said Andrew Fisher, Australian business leader at Touchbase Australia.

“Basically Touchbase went on a worldwide search for a partner to assist with the managed service components of clients needs. We were using Prognosis for eight to 12 months and we really liked it, so we formalised a strategic relationship,” he said.

Prognosis is specialised IP telephony management software that forms part of a complete network management strategy. The software helps enable large enterprises and managed service providers to optimise voice quality and service reliability, claimed Fisher.

The Prognosis suite used by Touchbase will augment its managed service offering for new and existing customers in the areas of VoIP network-readiness assessments, pre-deployment assurance testing, and ongoing performance management for Cisco Unified Communication environments, he said.

The new relationship with Prognosis is just one of many plans for the company’s growth in 2008, said Fisher.

He told CRN the telephony service provider will be expanding its operations during the year.

“We will make significant investment in Perth. Even though we have no base there, currently, business is booming. This will give us coverage across all states in Australia and Touchabse will also expand its Melbourne operations during the year,” said Fisher.

According to Fisher, Touchbase has recruited 16 clients in 90 days of business and is looking at adding another 10 clients in 30 days.
