Telstra is looking to cut up to 1400 jobs as part of a cost-cutting initiative that will impact staff across the business.
The telco will brief staff today about the job changes.
Telstra has slowly made cuts to its workforce over the last year as it looks to reduce staff costs by $1 billion over the next five years.
In the last 12 months, staff cuts have hit 326 staff from customer services, 300 back-of-house roles, 200 finance jobs, 24 wholesale customer operations staff, and 55 enterprise services staff.
The telco has also sought to recoup costs by reducing its remuneration rate for third-party stores by ten percent.
