Techplus launches partner program, new products

Techplus Distribution has launched a partner program and significantly bolstered product portfolio.

The partner program included cooperative marketing, support, pre-sales assistance, evaluations, partner portal, lead generation.

On the product side, Techplus added Expand Networks, ManageEngine, Igel, Celestix, Tricerat and Infoblox vendors to its line up.

"Our existing and new product ranges lend themselves to a technical and good margin sell, and therefore the need for specialist services," the company said in a statement.

"We can now work with partners with full skill-sets or minimum skill-sets around our entire product range, and provide services to help fill in the gaps they may have."

Techplus also increased its professional services offerings and hired specialist staff.

Paul Doherty joined the distie to head up its professional services team and will be working to build additional services coverages.

Doherty has been active in the channel for a number of years, has strong thin client, virtualisation and networking capabilities "and a desire to assist partners with growth", Techplus said.

Meanwhile, Michael Crocombe joined as channel manager for the northern region and was based in the distie's Sydney office.
