Orro appoints new technology chief and group executive

Stuart Long has been appointed as CTO at Orro, replacing Michael van Rooyen who is leaving the company after two years. Long brings more than 20 years of experience in technology and architecture leadership roles, most recently serving as field CTO for HPE South Pacific.

Matthew Maw has also been appointed to the position of group executive, delivery transformation at Orro, building on his leadership within the critical infrastructure business. Maw is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience across cloud, infrastructure and operations, having previously held senior positions at Nutanix, VMware, Cisco and Tatts Group.

V2 appoints Alvin Oh as AI and modernisation partner

Oh brings more than 20 years of experience in leading multi-million dollar IT modernisation programs across financial services, energy, retail and government sectors. Prior to joining V2, Oh served as Asia-Pacific application modernisation market offering lead at Deloitte.

Perth IoT vendor Digital Matter names new chief executive

Digital Matter has appointed IoT industry veteran Loïc Barancourt as its new chief executive officer. Barancourt brings more than 15 years of executive leadership experience in IoT, telecommunications, and enterprise technology to the asset tracking solutions provider. Most recently, he served as group chief commercial officer at UnaBiz, and prior to that role, Barancourt founded and led Thinxtra, an IoT business in the Asia-Pacific region.

DXC appoints banking and financial services chief for ANZ

Services provider DXC Technology has appointed industry veteran Michelle Bendschneider as its industry general manager for banking and financial services, for Australia and New Zealand. Bendschneider will be based in Melbourne, and oversee DXC’s financial services portfolio across ANZ. Prior to joining DXC Technology, Bendschneider was the chief executive of Connectico Group; she has also held senior positions at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Telstra Corporation, IBM, Boston Consulting Group, and PaperCut Software.

NinjaOne's Vic Guerrero promoted to senior director role

Victor Guerrero has been promoted to the role of senior director of channels and alliances. He joined NinjaOne in September 2023, as director of channel and alliances for the Asia-Pacific. Prior to NinjaOne, Guerrero held executive roles with Orro, CustomTec and Dimension Data.

Former Dell APJ exec to lead security vendor Certis

Certis, the security vendor owned by the Singapore government investment fund Temasek, has named technology veteran Ng Tian Beng as its new president and group chief executive officer. Ng replaces Paul Chong, who will transition to an advisory role to the chairman before retiring in March 2026. He brings more than 25 years of technology sector experience to the Ops-Tech solutions provider, with extensive expertise in strategic leadership and business growth.

Elastic Names Sanjay Deshmukh as VP for APJ

Elastic has appointed Sanjay Deshmukh as vice president VP for Asia-Pacific and Japan.  Deshmukh will be responsible for scaling and driving growth of the regional business, expanding the partner ecosystem, and strengthening relationships with customers. He was previously senior regional VP for ASEAN and India at Snowflake.

James Blakely joins cyber advisory firm Atmos

Atmos Australia and New Zealand, a newly established legal and advisory firm providing cyber, privacy and digital risk services, has hired James Blakely as head of government relations, leading government engagement and cyber incident management. He previously led the development of ID Support NSW and has experience in cybersecurity, data breach response, and public service innovation.
